Mother’s Day is a great day to celebrate all the moms in your life—whether she's your mom, grandma, sister, aunt, wife, or friend. Maybe your celebration gathers lots of family, or maybe it’s just a relaxing day for Mom and her kids. Whatever your preference, there are lots of ways to make the day easy and fun for these special ladies in your life!
1. Pick up any gifts and cards a few days ahead of Mother’s Day to avoid any last-minute stress. Fresh flowers will brighten the day and weekend.
2. Make the day special with an activity Mom will enjoy. Maybe a picnic at a nearby park, or even a picnic in the house, complete with a cozy blanket on the living room floor and her favorite music and games. How about a family hike, or maybe a treat she doesn’t always have time to enjoy—like a trip to the movies or to get her nails done!
3. Get kids involved with planning Mom’s special day. Have them write out clues on little cards for a “treasure” hunt for some of Mom’s favorite snacks or treats hidden around the house. Give Mom a break and have the kids write out vouchers for chores around the house they are going to do for her. They will also love being a helper in the kitchen to prepare delicious eats for Mom, like super easy Raspberry-Rhubarb Cookie Bars.
4. Start a new meal tradition. It could be breakfast in bed, or a family brunch, or a special dinner—the possibilities are endless.
